MindMeister

MindMeister is an online concept map and it is a great way to plan and set certain goals for yourself or a large group.  Many people, businesses, and schools use MindMeister for various purposes.  It is also a great way to gather thoughts before witting a paper or doing a project.
I personally enjoyed working on my MindMeister and I thought it was a fun and helpful tool. I think MindMeister would be a great tool inside of the classroom because maybe after reading a book, before having to write a paper, the teacher could have the students log on to their MindMeister account (which is free and easy to join) and they could use this web concept map to plan and organize their thoughts instead of having to write an outline.  This is a great tool for writting papers and I am going to start using this more and more and I would advise my classmates to do the same.

~Summary:  With Google Page Creator you can create fun and attractive web pages in just a few minutes.  It is a great way to communicate with students in your class and it is easy to post assignments for the class that day.  You can customize your page with different images and links to other websites also to make it easier for the students to access and complete their homework.  On the left side of my page I created are a few links to access through this google page I created.  I added the link to BeFunky.com because I think that’s a great site for anyone who has a picture library on their computer.  Best of all is that it is free and google hosts your page(s).

~Personal Testimony:  I read through the textbook, "Best Ideas for Teaching with Technology" and I thought it was another great way to communicate with classes and show them a fun and easy way of doing homework.  The steps google had me go through for creating this page was very easy and it only took me a few minutes to get the settings how I like it. This is a great tool not only for educators but anyone who would like to share information.

Setting up a blog is fun and easy. You can add nearly anything you can imagine and post whatever you choose to post. Posting is very simple, it doesnt have to be very complicated at all. You can simply just write how your day was today or share a story and express your feelings.

My name is Karl Weisser and I am currently a freshman at IUPUI.  I am majoring in Elementary Education and I hope to teach the 2nd Grade.  I am hoping to transfer into IUB next semester and get into the School of Education over there.  I enjoying listening to all types of music and enjoy swimming competitively.
